Original illustrations by Author Hugh Lofting
Author Hugh Lofting’s original illustrations are generally square, black and white, and 100% accurate to the story. The exceptions are the first story (The Story of Doctor Dolittle (1920)) and selected later parts of the saga.
Some parts of Doctor Dolittle, such as The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle (1922), contain enhanced and large-format illustrations.
